Jarvis: Go Rossi, Yamaha’s “Fresh”
Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis, acknowledged that the departure of Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha makes the “fresh”. The reason, in the body of the team no longer shocks because of Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies are believed to be more along in their cooperation started the 2011 season in MotoGP this.
After seven successful years with Yamaha, Rossi decided to leave and join the Ducati at the end of last season. Losing “The Doctor”, Yamaha promotes Spies from the Tech 3 satellite team, to be a companion Lorenzo, the world champion.
When Rossi left, most of the crew, too, so that Spies also have to carry the team mechanics. This is what makes many new faces in the team Yamaha 2011. However, Jarvis believes these changes will be good for the team.
“Of course, along with Vale for the past seven years to an amazing era. Now, we stepped into a new time,” he said.
“The whole team is more fresh and classified again. We have Meregalli Maio, who joined us from World Superbike, as director of team and we also have Zeleenberg Wilco, who remain in the ranks of our management for a second season. So, we have the management team tough.
“Although Ben Spies in the team camp is still new, most of them have worked with Ben for several years and many of them last year been working with Yamaha. So, this is just the gathering of Ben’s team back in the garage.
“In Jorge stronghold no change. They say you should not need to change the composition of a championship team so we can not change it one bit. I thought we were in good condition and I could see teamwork as a whole this year.”
In the last three years, Yamaha dominate MotoGP. However, Jarvis did not want that title because he thought all their dazzling it means nothing when it enters this new season in 2011.
“In racing, you have to be realistic: in the beginning of the season you will not be nothing because everyone start with zero points,” he said.
“What we’re reaching out with a hat-trick world title is a fantastic thing and has become a historical record. If we could just reach for the fourth time, of course very encouraging. To be sure, we will fight the maximum.”
Jarvis also is not worried about motivation Lorenzo, who had to realize his ambition to become world champion. According to him, the Spanish rider will remain maximum.

Defending champion Lorenzo vowed to work harder than usual. “This year’s celebration of 50 years and last year using 800 cc engine (1,000 cc switch to next year), it feels more special if you get the title,” said Lorenzo.

I gain valuable experience and pressure heavier burden this year with the team of the manufacturer. But, the pressure is slowly fading as a new mechanic with the team and I felt the atmosphere was in a large family of Yamaha,” Spies said.
Lorenzo: So Labor Persolan Our Main
Jorge Lorenzo admitted, “power” is still the main obstacle to deal with the Yamaha MotoGP 2011. Therefore, the Spanish world champion said, they have to wait for various improvements for the Yamaha can approach the achievement of Honda, which appear very dominant during pre-season test.
“What am I thinking right now is the engine problem, which is the main issue is that we lose power,” said Lorenzo to Motosprint.
“We need to get more power again and this is a job for Yamaha to do. We need a machine that can be lauched as closely as possible to produce big power.
“Everyone must have known how our rivals have made a big step forward and they have a machine with more power.”
Nevertheless, the former double world champion claimed the 250cc class was not too worried about the situation now. Only he admitted, his struggle to retain his hard work.
“I know that Yamaha did not like this situation, so of course the mechanics will react,” said Lorenzo. “I’m calm, because in this case I can not do anything to the machine: I need to wait for the mechanics.”
Answering a question whether he asked for an upgraded power to deal with the series opener in Qatar on 20 March, Lorenzo said: “No, because it is not possible. I hope not too long to wait until a few series.”
Lorenzo: My grandmother could Faster
Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, so furious with their performance at practice last official MotoGP pre-season 2011 in Losail, Qatar, on Monday (3/14/2011). In the final trial before the series opener at the Losail Circuit on Sunday (03/20/2011), Lorenzo slumped in seventh position with a record time of 1 minute 56.707 seconds best.
Raihan is still slower than what he gained on Sunday (13/03/2011) night. He’s also more than a second adrift with Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, who recorded the fastest time on the last night. Stoner also lost to teammate, Ben Spies, who was in third position.
Therefore, do not be surprised if Lorenzo was very disappointed with the preparation to defend his title. Former double world champion 250 cc class was also felt pessimistic about his chances of winning the series opener in Qatar.
“This is not the best day throughout my career,” said Lorenzo, who won the ninth series of the 2010 season and make a new record in the arena of MotoGP, when collecting a total of 383 points. “When I raced with my bad to admit it and say that I do not look good. I raced well. However, setting the motor is not exactly so we lost a lot of time because the rear tires.”
“My grandmother could probably faster with a better setting.”
Lorenzo admits, his bike is very difficult to change in the right direction. That’s because he feels very uncomfortable when braking and attractions are also bad. Therefore, this Spanish rider said that they would try setting last year after setting in Sepang is not suitable for use in Losail.
Lorenzo: I’m Better Than Rossi
In an interview with Reuters on Wednesday (3/16/2011), 2010 MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo, claiming to be underdogs in the race to maintain his performance in season 2011. However, the Spanish rider claims is still better than Valentino Rossi today.
“Favourites this year is Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner, the new me, my colleague Ben Spies, Marco (Simoncelli), and Andrea (Dovizioso),” said Lorenzo via international telephone from Doha, Qatar. For him, Dani and Stoner is a strong rider, very tough, and has a fast motor.
Mallorca-born rider 23 years ago this did not look down upon Simoncelli and Dovizioso equally from Honda. However, Dani and Stoner was showing when the awesomeness Honda RC212V at Sepang (Malaysia) in the test session, including in Losail (Qatar), recently.
About Ducati, Lorenzo judge them not in peak condition even though it can get maximum results. When asked about the possibility Ducati win, “Maybe yes, maybe not. What is clear, he (Rossi) would experience a difficult competition, maybe more than ever before in his career,” said Lorenzo.
Rivalry Dani and Casey Can disadvantaged Honda
Former 500cc world champion, Kevin Schwantz, to comment on competition Repsol Honda duo Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner. According to him, the rivalry between the two riders in a team is very potential to cause turbulence, which can give negative effects to the rider.
Stoner, 2007 world champion, leaving Ducati to joining Honda at the end of last season. The presence of Australian rider is of course disturbed “establishment” Dani Pedrosa, who in recent years has become the number one Honda rider.
Well, this is the condition which, according to Schwantz, very risky would be a “civil war”. With the Honda’s policy to let them fight in a fair, it is not impossible that mistakes will happen if one of them tried to show that he is the team leader.
“This is a new team, a new motor, everything will be a little different,” said Schwantz told Autosport, when asked for his comments before the series debut in 2011 in Qatar MotoGP this weekend.
“The pressure is, when Pedrosa has long been on your team than you, then they might listen to his direction, not yours.
“All this may just be playing in the mind of Casey. If Casey just go race and ignored the political side that bothered him, I think Casey will be fierce. It is certain.
“I think, when Pedrosa and Stoner battle continues, one of them will let the others get it. Hopefully this is not like when Dani and Nicky Hayden in 2006, but tried to show ‘my dominant here in your Honda and other necessary follow me and listen to me ‘.
Even so, remain a candidate Stoner Schwantz. Former American rider said, if Stoner in the best performance so no one can beat him.
“Based on test results, can not be denied Honda had the right thing. There are more than one fast rider in the Honda,” he said.
“You have to think that if Casey can find top form, as shown with Ducati in the 2007 season, then the other driver need luck to keep up. He will appear so fast …”
Rossi: Need 2 Months for 100 Percent Fit

The defending champions are agreed, that his team had made progress.
“We tried some new things in some corners today, to try to create for the motor is much more stable when I started ; including all his teeth,” the Spanish rider said this.
