Feeling Rossi Ducati There Progress
Valentino Rossi believes, Ducati began no-good progress in improving the speed and understanding of the major changes required to make it win. “The Doctor” reveals it is based on the Catalunya Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (06/04/2011).
Indeed, Rossi’s achievement is still far from expectations that he will start from seventh on the race Sunday (05/06/2011). However, these results are the best for the former Honda and Yamaha rider since he joined the Ducati.
What makes Rossi’s pretty excited because when qualifying his team could make a little improvement. In fact, during free practice on Saturday morning, Rossi’s performance was not good so he slumped in the order of eight.
“Smoking is very bad practice. This morning I was very slow and also I fell. I am very sad because we did not find the right setting,” said seven-time MotoGP world champion is.
“But, this afternoon is better. Of course I am not happy with the results being in seventh place, but I feel my speed is good and feel better with a motor. I feel better speed with hard tires, that’s not too bad.”
“Unfortunately, on my last lap too impose themselves on the last part and I lost the second row. If not, I actually could make a better record. However, the position six or seven is not a big difference.”
“Tomorrow, we need to change the rhythm of about two or three per ten, and trying to do race well.”
Rossi is also sure, Ducati is currently identifying the problem and moving in the right direction.
“The situation has changed,” said the Italian rider. “However, the distance with the rider on top too much. We need to work hard. The problem that must be addressed on the motor is becoming increasingly clear every day.”
“We talked about the future, but also the stability of the back. Ducati will still work. To make a step forward, we need something different and I hope it could come as soon as possible.”
He admitted, adaptation style racing with Ducati behavior is a major task.
“I need more experience with this bike because a lot of trouble to drive it with a riding-different (compared with) all other motors in my career. Also, my team should be faster and better understand the modifications to the setting.”
Absent Pedrosa in Catalunya GP
Repsol Honda confirmed that Dani Pedrosa will not appear on this weekend’s MotoGP race at Catalunya. Because the condition of the Spanish rider postoperative right clavicle is not fully fit to take part in the fifth race series.
Pedrosa fractures due to accidents in the French GP on 15 May. He was involved incidents with Gresini Honda rider, Marco Simoncelli, when competing hard to compete for second position.
Pedrosa after the incident immediately rushed to Barcelona and finally taken the decision to operate. Had predicted he might be able to perform in Catalunya because it only took less than three weeks to recover, but the reality is different. Pedrosa is not fit and should resign from the Catalunya GP.
“After France, I had surgery to stabilize a broken right collarbone and hopes to be ready for Barcelona,” said Pedrosa. “I try to push yourself as much as possible, but I felt my collarbone was not ready. I thought, I had to rest for a while to fully recover. Since the beginning of this year I have a lot of problems and surgery, and I believe that should stop now so let it heal properly. ”
Ketidakikutsertaan itself is certainly a disappointment for a loss and Pedrosa. The reason, he had lost an opportunity to gain points in order to maintain its path toward the world championship ladder. Now the Portuguese Grand Prix champion was only hoping to recover soon and return to the track.
“I am certainly happy to be in Montmelo with all the fans who follow me, but for me, if on the track, I was over there fighting for victory and offered them a good race. I feel it is not possible at this time, and because of that, things most reasonable is not to compete.
“It’s a shame about what happened. Despite all the problems I experienced earlier this season, this year I feel very strong and can defeat an opponent unconscious. I want to thank you all for your support, and hope to get back in top form, to continue to provide the best. “
Lorenzo Not Surprised Stoner preceding
Jorge Lorenzo admitted, he was not too surprised to see the Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, preceded and eventually became the champion Grand Prix Catalunya on Sunday (5/6/11). Because the 2007 world champion was already showing its dominance over the weekend.
Lorenzo, who started from position three, could lead the way race when the red light goes out, sign the race begins. But only one lap later, Stoner was past him and rider Australia has continued to be in front until the finish line.
“I’ve tried to do my best from the beginning,” said Lorenzo, who is a defending champion.
“The key is to start – I did a good start. But I know, Casey could pass me in a few laps. He did do, and when he makes it, I tried to withstand the maximum berrsamanya along the lap.
“But then in mid-race, rain began to fall, particularly in the last corners. So, it makes it hard to not lose concentration or make a mistake at the corners.”
Despite only finishing in second position, but the results are quite good because it makes Lorenzo stay on top of the standings. Now, the Yamaha rider is seven points ahead of Stoner. According to former double world champion 250cc class, the priorities in the race this time is reaping as many points as possible to maintain its position.
“The race is very important for me to finish it and still lead the standings,” said the Spanish rider. “So, I think we’ve done our goal.”
Stoner: Rain Make me Very Depressed
Casey Stoner appear very dominant at the Catalu Grand Prix on Sunday (5/6/11), to be a winner. Nevertheless, Repsol Honda rider was admitted he had an experience of getting a high pressure during the race, due to the rain which flushed the track. The reason, therefore he must remain extra vigilant during the race.
Indeed, at the start of the race everything went smoothly because the weather is still good. But entering the mid-race, rain began to fall, although only mists, so that the white flag was raised as a sign of disturbance would occur (due to weather). The driver began to get ready in. pit to replace the motor with wet tires. But eventually, all the rider can still finish the race without having to enter the pit.
“I continue to make the gap and feel comfortable doing it, and then the rain came, so it is disturbing,” said Stoner, who managed to overtake the Yamaha rider, Jorge Lorenzo, at the end of the first lap, to take over the course of the race.
“I did start with a very worried. There will be rain in some parts, and every lap you do not know the corner where the rain will fall with the heavy,” said Stoner, who has recorded three victories throughout this 2011 season.
“I do not know what speed, how bad conditions. So, I’m just trying to adjust themselves to the people behind, and apparently it went well. But it provides a high pressure during the race and stayed in front of me a little nervous.
However Stoner admitted he was confident Catalu GP after a rule the three free practice sessions over the weekend. In any qualifications, defeated Marco Simoncelli’s time record before the session ended, and only very slightly adrift.
Feel like a champion Rossi
Valentino Rossi absurdly pleased with the results of the French Grand Prix on Sunday (05/15/2011). The wait has been finally realized, where for the first time in his career he could be on the podium with Ducati.
Indeed, “The Doctor” worth celebrating small successes because he and the Ducati is not a favorite in the 2011 season. This is because the performance of the Desmosedici GP11 far short of expectations because of competition with its rivals from Honda and Yamaha teams. Moreover, his physical condition did not support the postoperative shoulder in November last year.
However, in the race for 28 laps at Le Mans Circuit, France, Rossi showed the appearance of a very impressive and fantastic. Start from a sequence of nine, seven times MotoGP world champion was slowly pushed forward and had been in second place before being beaten by the Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso, on the last few laps. Rossi is also the second defeat of Dovizioso after the GP of Portugal earlier this month he was defeated before the finish line in the race for fourth spot.
“I’m very happy, first podium with Ducati cause tremendous emotional, especially since I went there after experiencing a difficult period when we had many struggles to overcome my physical condition and also be able to better understand the motor,” said 33-year-old rider .
“However, this is getting better and race on this day very enjoyable. I did a pretty good start, a few times to overtake the opponent, and I am involved in the fight with Dovi and (Jorge) Lorenzo. We have a different setting and I am faster than them at rest this weekend. ”
“At the end of fun because I did a few laps with a good to fight with Jorge and I can pass it. Then, when Dovi came, there was another fight again.”
“We are on a good path, but in some places we are still a lot to lose. When I tried to overtake Dovi, I thought it was the last lap, but it turns out there’s still one more time, I’m not sure. However, it is difficult and congratulations for Dovi. ”
Despite failing to become number two, Rossi was still happy. In fact, on the podium, the former Honda and Yamaha rider was celebrated the same as someone who just became the winner.
“Third place is certainly not like a winner, but similar,” he said.
Fastest, Simoncelli Even More Angry
Marco Simoncelli became more angry and disappointed when he listed himself as the fastest rider in all trials at the Estoril Circuit on Monday (05/02/2011). How not, the result he achieved after having bad luck at the Portugal Grand Prix, Sunday (01/05/2011).
Yes, Simoncelli deserved angry with what they experienced it. When he was favored to win because it is very dominant throughout the free practice session, Simoncelli disappointing actually appear during the race. Start of second order and a new start the race, he just fell on entering the fourth corner caused the rear tires are still too cold, so failed to continue the race.
It was the second accident for this spiky-haired rider. Previously, on the wet track at Jerez Circuit, Spain (second series), he also briefly led the race course, but had an accident and eventually fail as well.
Back to Estoril. After experiencing bad luck the previous day, Simoncelli back in action along with a number of other riders in the MotoGP test 201-based rules, there are only two tests throughout the season. Gresini Honda rider recorded a best time of 1 minute 36.211 seconds, which dibikinnya on lap 62 of the completion of a total of 70 laps.
Italian rider is trying to set new front fork and using Bridgestone tires 2012 that provided for all riders. He was 0.105 seconds ahead of his new enemy with the status of world champion Jorge Lorenzo. In Sunday’s race, Yamaha rider, who in three previous seasons always be a winner, must settle for being ranked second.
“Back sitting on a motorcycle and complete the test is positive and the fastest time, after experiencing disappointment yesterday, certainly made me more angry,” said Simoncelli. “What can I say other than it is important and becomes even worse if the right home-at least, with this I feel a little bit happier.
“We did a good job today at the fork and tried the new version 2012 Bridgestone tires and a few other things. It was a positive day and now I can go home happy and looking forward to the next race at Le Mans, where I want to forget the disappointment of yesterday. ”

Lorenzo’s turn Performance Criticism “Marshal”
Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, took to respond to the treatment of the marshal after an accident involving Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner, second in the MotoGP series in 2011 in Jerez, Spain, Sunday (3/4/11). The Spanish rider was disappointed with the actions of favoritism from the officials at the edge of the track.
Indeed, when the accident occurred on the eighth lap when Rossi joined motorcycle drag bike Stoner went off the track, the marshal immediately rushed to help them. But, they (the marshal) first helped Rossi, who crushed his bike, only then noticed Stoner. Before long, Rossi directly with the Ducati Desmosedici GP11 ngacir to continue the race – eventually finished fifth -, while Stoner was forced into the garage because the conditions did not allow his Honda RC212V to continue to compete.
The action of this marshal had received negative reactions from Stoner. Now, turn to Lorenzo who spoke. But overall, the performance of the marshal at Jerez was criticized, including by the Gresini Honda rider, Marco Simoncelli, who was not getting help when an accident on lap 12.
“Of course, Valentino Rossi does not want to have an accident. But it can happen to anyone, including me. Casey did not do anything bad in the accident, and he’s riding really well so it does not deserve this,” said Lorenzo, who won the victory in the second series.
“Somebody told me, that the marshal to help Rossi, but not for Casey, and honestly, I do not like. I am more happy if relief is granted fairly, impartially like this. But indeed, in these circumstances the marshal also nervous and sometimes difficult to react properly. ”
However, accidents that befall Rossi and Stoner (also Simoncelli) actually provide benefits to Lorenzo. Former double world champion 250cc class is not got a rival, so that in front of 125,000 supporters, he managed to become a winner on the track is wet. It became the most unforgettable, because for the first time in his career, Lorenzo won the race on wet tracks – these results also make Lorenzo for the second time in a row to win the Spanish GP.
